First Mortgage Corporation of Winter Haven was chartered in December 1959 by 19 investors and local business leaders. The company originally was located in the Federal building at 519 W. Central Ave., beginning with just two permanent employees
In June, 1970, that property was sold to American National Bank of Winter Haven and the facility formerly known as American National Bank of Cypress Gardens was purchased. This site, at 1810 6th Street SE, in Winter Haven, has served as the company’s headquarters ever since.
